How did Democrats manage to misrepresent Bush's plan to privatize Social Security?

They never misrepresented the idea, they misrepresented the president so nobody would listen to any of his ideas. It was a great plan, I remember being frustrated by the liberals interrupting his speech when he presented it. Then because they had control of the house they voted it down and then stood up and clapped for themselves. They just suck.
