Christians, about the Great Flood story, what's going on with this?

Being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. If God takes anyone from this world it is to His glory and they are then in a much better place. When someone passes from here, we feel hurt that they are not gonna get to live in THIS life. This LIFE is just a morning mist. The next one is promised (by God) to be a much better place than here.
